Chipstead Lodge No. 5463 is a Freemasons lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England, sitting within the Province of Surrey. We meet four times a year in Redhill. Our members live and work across Redhill, Reigate, Horley and the towns and villages around them.

Where members come from
Redhill
The town we meet in. Members live across the postcodes covering Redhill and the immediate surrounding area, and the drive home from the lodge is short.
Reigate
Right next to Redhill, with members drawn from across the town. The two towns share the same commuter pattern and the journey to lodge is straightforward.
Horley
A short drive south of Redhill, including the Gatwick fringe. Members from Horley have been part of the lodge for years.
If you live in Banstead, Caterham, Coulsdon, Nutfield, Bletchingley, Earlswood, Salfords, Hookwood, Smallfield, Outwood, or any of the villages and surrounding towns, you are still well within the realistic catchment for an evening at the lodge.
Where and when we meet
We meet four times a year in Redhill. The meeting evenings include the formal lodge meeting and the dinner that follows (the Festive Board). The Membership Officer will share the exact venue and dates with you during the enquiry process.
Between formal meetings, there are informal social gatherings and rehearsal evenings (Lodges of Instruction) for members who want to be more involved in the ceremonial work. None of these are compulsory.
Practical detail
Four formal meetings a year is on the lighter end of the spectrum for a UK Freemasons lodge. Some lodges meet monthly. The lighter cadence suits members who want a meaningful but contained commitment alongside work and family life.
What makes Chipstead Lodge distinct
Across Surrey there are many Freemasons lodges. They all work the same ceremonies, follow the same constitution, and contribute to the same provincial and national charitable work. What varies between them is the people, the rhythm of the year, the atmosphere of the Festive Board, and the small traditions a lodge develops over decades.
